FULL SAFETY GUIDELINES

General Principles  .  Floor Skills  .  Beam Skills  .  Supervision & Practice  .  Health & Injury  .  My Commitment

General Principles:

• My role is creative & instructional only — I am providing choreography, structure, and educational guidance. I am not your in‑person coach, personal trainer, or medical professional.

• In‑person supervision is essential — all new skills, high‑difficulty work, and advanced elements must be learned, practiced, and mastered under the direct supervision of a qualified, in‑person gymnastics coach.

• Warm up fully — minimum 10–15 minutes of light cardio + dynamic movement before any practice session.

• Cool down gently — static stretching, slow movement, and recovery time afterwards.

• Know your limits — progress at your own pace; never rush skills or attempt anything beyond your current proven ability.

• Rest when fatigued — tiredness increases risk. Stop before you become unsafe.

• Check your environment — clear space, suitable flooring, secure equipment, adequate height & width clearance.

• Appropriate attire — hair tied back, no jewellery, fitted clothing that won’t catch or restrict movement.

Floor Skills:

• Warm ankles, knees, hips & spine thoroughly before any tumbling or jumps.

• Only practice on suitable, even, padded surfaces — never tumble on hard concrete, tiles, or thin rugs.

• Land softly — bend knees to absorb impact; protect joints.

• Master skills in proper sequence — do not skip foundational progressions.

• Home practice = consolidation only — do not learn new tumbling skills at home without your coach present.
